Master Bath Remodel

This is our first remodel job. While I’ve done RFQs, evaluated multi-million dollar bids and been Project Manager over the same, this is the first one I’ve done using my own personal checkbook.

It puts a different spin on the process.

We talked to several contractors about our ideas and got “rough quotes” along with references and Internet feedback. After a while we chose A Plus Kitchens and Baths for the project.

The possiblities available, overal size of the project and options for everthing from ripping-out-everything-down-to-the-studs to what-cabinet-knob-do-you-want was pretty overwhelming at first. The space being updated also added to the challenge as can be seen in the floor plan above. Stepping back and looking at each bit before moving to the next one made the elephont easier to swallow. The folks at A Plus made great partners.

The odd shape of the space not only made the design choices challenging, getting good photos was hard too.

Here we go.

welcome to our master bathroom remodel

We had our house built for us in 1992. While we’ve maintained it over the years, it’s pretty dated and needs refreshing. What better place to start than the Master Bathroom?
